South Austin Restorative Dentistry

You deserve a healthy and beautiful smile, and if you have damaged or missing teeth, we will restore your teeth and gums to their previous brilliance. Dr. Chittajallu and our team at Southwest Smiles will help determine the best restorative options for you, whether it’s a tooth-colored filling to help heal tooth decay or dental implant restorations for implants that have been damaged. Our experienced team provides exceptional and first-rate oral health care for all types of dental restorations.

Our restorative dental treatments include:

Natural-Looking Restorations

If you suffer from decayed or missing teeth, Dr. Chittajallu will restore your smile with natural-looking restorations, from tooth-colored fillings to porcelain crowns. Crowns improve the appearance of your smile, restore damaged and decayed teeth, and protect your teeth for years to come. Best of all, porcelain crowns look and feel completely natural!

A dental bridge is a dental restoration that literally “bridges” the gap where one or more teeth used to be. Dental bridges can be supported by natural teeth with crowns on top, or by implant-supported crowns.

Get a one-visit dental crown with our CEREC® Technology. Instead of waiting for a dental crown to be made in a lab then placed in a follow-up appointment, we can make a crown for you in our office so you can get on with your life! You can read more about our one-visit dental crowns by visiting our CEREC® Technology page.

Inside our teeth is a soft tissue called the pulp that contains blood vessels and nerves. The pulp can become infected or inflamed by bacteria when there is a deep cavity, or when the tooth is cracked, chipped, or injured in some way. If inflamed pulp is left untreated, it can infect the surrounding tissue and bone in your jaw. Root canal therapy is used to help save a tooth that may otherwise need to be extracted.

A root canal treatment simply removes the diseased pulp and then we carefully clean out the chamber and then seal the tooth. Root canals often save teeth and are also done very gently.

Dental Implants Restorations

South Austin Cosmetic Dentist Lakshmi Chittajallu of Southwest Smiles

Dental implants are small titanium posts that are surgically positioned in the jaw bone, then topped with a natural-looking restoration to permanently replace one or multiple missing teeth. Dental implants look and feel like your natural teeth and allow you to eat all of the foods that you love, even the hard to chew ones like steak and apples!

If one of your dental implants has been damaged or needs extra care, call Southwest Smiles to discuss your options for a dental implant restoration.

Dentures & Removable Partial Dentures

Many people live with ill-fitting dentures for years because they think that slipping, clicking, and messy adhesives are just a fact of life. You don’t have to live with uncomfortable dentures, and at Southwest Smiles we will customize your dentures to ensure the best fit for you. Modern dentures are incredibly versatile, and will be carefully made to look and feel just like your natural smile. Whether you need a partial denture, a full denture, or a reline of your existing set, Dr. Chittajallu will take great care to ensure that your dentures are as functional, beautiful, and affordable as possible.
