Jennifer Amerine, Hygienist
Jennifer Amerine earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Texas A&M before pursuing a career in dental hygiene. She began studying and practicing in California, where she worked for six years before relocating to Austin. Jennifer has since accumulated 15 years of experience in the field, eight of those years being with the Southwest Smiles team. She is a valued member of our staff, providing compassionate and thorough care for our patients.
Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys hiking, traveling, and participating in mission work. She also loves spending time with her family, friends, and her beloved Lab mix, Luke—a big, lovable companion who’s always up for an adventure.
Sarah Arellano, Hygienist
Sarah Arellano grew up in the Texas Panhandle and earned her degree from Amarillo College. She has been a dental hygienist for eight years and a part of the Southwest Smiles team for three of those years. Sarah is passionate about providing gentle, thorough care to our patients and loves building relationships with them over time.
Outside of work, Sarah stays busy with her husband, Michael, and their energetic 5-year-old son. In her words, whatever she’s doing, her family is at the heart of it all!
Andrea Mireles, Office Manager
Andrea Mireles (Lopez) is our Office Manager at Southwest Smiles, where she’s been a cornerstone of the practice for over 11 years. Originally on the path to a career in criminal justice, she discovered her true calling in the dental field and never looked back. Andrea completed her training at Austin Dental Assistant School and has since built a career grounded in care, organization, and patient support.
When she’s not keeping the office running smoothly, Andrea enjoys spending quality time with her husband and family. She’s also a big sports fan and loves catching baseball and hockey games with her husband on their days off.
Dorothy Thompson, Registered Dental Assistant
Dorothy Thompson has been a very valuable player on our team for nine years. She handles the front office duties and helps with patient care in the back office as well. Dorothy is a skilled and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant with nearly a decade of experience in the dental field. She is passionate about patient care and creating a comfortable experience for everyone who visits.
In her free time, Dorothy enjoys watching football and baseball, and curling up with a good book.
Victoria Clancy, Registered Dental Assistant
Victoria Clancy is a recent graduate and proud new dental assistant with a passion for patient care and a dedication to helping others feel confident in their smiles. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Dental Assisting from El Paso Community College, where she developed a strong foundation in both clinical and administrative skills.
Outside of work, Victoria enjoys spending time with family and friends, going on walks with her dog, Jupiter, staying active, and continuing to expand her knowledge of the dental profession. She’s looking forward to growing in her role and making a positive impact on the lives of her patients every day.
